False Color Image opens with a sinister string that holds the listeners attention before grabbing you with a drop of epic proportions. A rugged 2 step kick and snare brings the energy straight to the forefront whilst the bass digs deep with a booming 808 hitting every 4 bars. This really hurts every bone in the human body! The percussion is tight and the edits are slick which Heavy1 is well known for. A tune thats had a recieved heavy rotational play from the likes of Icicle shogun podcast, Friction, Makoto, Lenzman to name but a few... With tunes coming thick and fast from Heavy1 expect big things this year, we are thrilled to welcome him to Dust Audio. AA: Mindmapper & Fre4knc - Dictionary of Dreams Dutch duo Mindmapper & Fre4knc are no strangers to the dnb circuit and have been producing their own style of future funk for a long time. Dictionary of Dreams brings a hypnotic flavour to the first release of this double AA. A rolling 2 step builds the tune before a gargantuan drop reveals itself unexpectedly, the bassline is welcomed and adds a groove to the tune which will without a doubt keep your head nodding! Fx snippets and clever edits are used but these do not distract, whilst subtle distorted stabs are perfectly placed within the whole tune. The added roll takes it that one step further and injects a pace that livens up any set. A delightful piece of future drum & bass funk which remains a favourite of djs Fabio on Radio 1, Kasra, Ant Tc1, Alix Perez among others.
