For the 20th release on his acclaimed Retrofit label, Jay Shepheard steps up to deliver an 8 track double 12 inch club album of top quality, DJ friendly dance material. 'I really enjoyed working on the Home and Garden album a couple of years ago, and while that was mainly focused on personal and domestic listening I wanted to take the extended creative process that an album offers and apply it to a two part vinyl club release the aim: a collection of 'go to' club tracks to be released in one hit, simultaneously working together as a whole and functioning as stand out club tools in their own right'. Having been honed over a year or more, tested and tweaked on the road during extensive worldwide touring in 2013 and 14, the tracks have finally been brought together to form 'Seeing Sound', the next chapter in Shepheard's musical journey. As with much of Jay's work the enigmatic tracks refuse to slot comfortably into any one genre, rather fusing aspects of house, techno and disco into a package that openly basks in dance music heritage while maintaining its unique, original sound and modern themes. Seeing Sound will be available on two part 12inch and download in late October / early November of 2014. A launch party will take place with special guests at a Berlin venue TBA soon and a worldwide tour will follow.
