After the record label boss Anthony Rother recently gave motorbeat a refreshing reinterpretation of the traditional sounding reference system with the debut ep 'Compression', two old friends are now giving guest performances in the Psi city - the two hamburg producers christoph rink and carsten stäcker, aka frequenzberater. up until now, they both - in addition to their regular club nights in waagenbau hamburg - mainly attracted attention when they made a contribution to anthony rother's electro commando 1 compilation (psi49net) and to the "in electro we trust" compilation (datapunk). together with xenia beliayeva, also currently featuring on datapunk ("ultra glamour" ep), the hanseatic dream team has created a masterpiece of narrative electro around xenia's brilliant vocals, which provokes thoughts of a bizarre amour fou but then takes a surprising turn in the finale. in addition to a remix of the title track from electro legend cisco ferreira, aka the advent, excellently formatted for the dancefloor, stäcker and rink also impress with the mechanoid cranky vocoder machinefunk from "our galaxy".
