Ben Sims has always carved out his own niche sound in the market place as a DJ, a label owner and a producer. To kick start the year we get a fine taste of some new material from a producer that Ben has heavily supported since day 1 - Paul Mac. This is a very rich piece of work with the A side being a solid, warm tribal workout that takes things a step futher with the addition of a nagging analogue bassline. The B1 is a real gem with its rich Detroit influence with warm pads and chords with Juno sounding bassline. The ep closes with a real tribal belter with the addition of cool latin sample inserts. Fat.
