Attributed with fueling Music Is Love's recent rich rein of form is Jamie Trench, who himself continues along a flourishing 2013 after a set of very impressive releases on his own imprint Roots For Bloom as well Tsuba Limited. Jamie's various musical loves- hip-hop, house and dusty boogie records- are manifest throughout his productions, a formula that evokes creatively crafted tracks to reflect the most prominent of his inspirations. His latest offering results in an EP that not only shows Jamie artist's signature for sophisticated and unmistakable house textures, but also highlights the significance and consistency of MIL. Discerning hi-hats and handclaps pave out in Back Chat as floaty chimes are sprinkled around the build-up of the track. Closing proceedins is Autumn, led by an undulating bassline constructing imperishable movement and groove from supple hi-hats and warm keys adding a touch of melodic finesse. Skipping head-boppingly along the hypnotic beat builds in depth with the parts interspersed by sensual French female vocals dipping in and out to give a fresh closing track. Back Chat's overall up-front, stripped-back house aesthetic falls synonymous with Music Is Love's ethos for creating truly contemporary pieces of engaging yet dance-floor inspired music.
