Though his background is Albanian, Franki Juncaj is Detroit through and through: he was born in the city and grew up in the Hamtramck neighbourhood. He got into techno after being introduced to the once-cherished Submerge store, which was demolished in 2009. Besa will be Juncaj's first full-length since 2010's Galactic Caravan, an album that spawned a remix package featuring Ben Sims, Alexander Robotnik and Orlando Voorn. As with that record, Besa will come out on DJ 3000's own Motech label, which he's been running since 2001.
