In 1999, Serotonin Records released their final output, which happened to be the very first official release by Fischerspooner, before they moved on to great international acclaim. Serotonin was their introduction into the dance music world. One might think that the label would have grown only larger and more successful from this particular high point in it's history - but life is uncertain and circumstances unforeseeable. Label founders John Selway and Jason Szostek became drawn away in different directions and the label ceased. Recently however, they began to discuss bringing back the imprint, re-releasing or remixing old material, digging up their own unreleased productions and producing new material bridging the gap between their early styles and what they create individually now. They also began to look around for new artists that complimented the amorphous Serotonin sound.
