'Gagaku' is the 2nd release on Joe McBrides 'Synkro Musik' imprint. The word comes from an ancient form of Japanese classical music once performed at the Imperial court in Kyoto, in English it translates to 'elegant music'. The lead track takes influence from this traditional form combined with elements of contemporary Japanese music & Synkro's signature sound. On the flip side German drum & bass producer Frederic Robinson takes the original & transforms it into something really special with a lighter & more uplifting sound. Finally 'Cloud Musik' is Synkro at his best, inspired by the New Age movement from the late 80's early 90s with layers of complex melodies & general midi sounds all sequenced from the trusty QY700 that has become the main workhorse in the Synkro studio. Limited to 300 hand stamped vinyl & digital.
