What can we say. Nebula is one of most exciting producers to send music our way. This is the first of what we expect will be many releases on Subtle Audio. And what a way to begin! The aptly titled Chords Of Sorrow opens serenely enough before letting loose a whipping amen break. A melancholic vocal enters which eventually builds to a choir of clamouring voices. The combination of Drum & Bass and Georgian Chant might not sound likely but we think it works very well, and, as you might know by now, we like things that sound a little different.The flip side might just be one of the most evocative pieces of music to come out on Subtle Audio thus far. Frame Of Reference is like a deep sea dive and the subsequent return to the surface, the breakdown signals your cue to gulp for air and the sun drenched close youre above water once more.
