Surge makes a welcome return to Zombie after a series of firing tunes on the label in 2005, including his link up with Twisted on ‘Baggy Trousers’ and his solo outing ‘Telepathy’. The Full Cycle boy continues to do no wrong here with two killer cuts for the dancefloor that bring the label into 2006 in fine style. First up is ‘New Order’ a crazy jump up cracker which will blast the snow off your dancing shoes this winter. High pitched scales go up and down the intro building the energy and the tension. A deep sub lick kicks in as the computerised “new order” vocal makes a sneak preview. As the scales go out of control the beats break down and the bass snaps in. A low end snarl competes with the high bass riff winding in and out of each other, with the scales from the intro being fed in and out of the mix. Think a helter skelter at your fairground on LSD, and your getting close! Surge comes out armed for the flip ready to ‘Blaze Em Up’. An off key piano, and sci-fi fx’s alongside shaking percussion and a fat drum roll collide to get this track firing on cylinders. A solid b-line keeps switching up throughout the track to keep it moving and heads nodding. Keep your eyes peeled for more dancefloor monsters on Zombie from Heist, Zen Twisted, Dubalty and others in 200.
